Fianna Fáil is the Republican Party. It exists to bring the Irish People a government based on the peoples will, with equal rights and equal opportunity for every citizen.
Practically that means building a powerful economy and using the resources from that economy to combat poverty and exclusion, and, to fund world-class health, education and social services.
Our policies, together with the hard work of Irish workers, were the force behind the transformation of the Irish economy. We have harnessed that transformation to deliver the largest increases in social welfare and social services in Europe .
As Republicans, Fianna Fáil works toward the goal of a United Ireland. As an Irish Republican, the unity of Irish people is my main personal and political goal.
Fianna Fáil has endeavoured hard down the years to convince violent Irish Nationalist groups that their campaigns were in fact bolstering partition of our island and driving Irish people further and further apart.
Thankfully, today we have convinced all but the dissident fringe of Irish Nationalism that violence doesn't work.
In Government, we were the main Irish party negotiating the Good Friday Agreement with the British and the northern parties. Today, the Good Friday Agreement is the template for permanent peace on our island.
